Pharmtech Exhibition to Present New Equipment and Technologies of Pharmaceutical Industry

The 11th Moscow International Exhibition “Pharmtech — Technologies of Pharmaceutical Industry” will take place from 24 to 27 November 2009 in Crocus Expo. This event is organised by ITE, an international company running more than 200 annual specialised exhibitions and conferences. In Russia, ITE organisers major exhibitions in Moscow, Novosibirsk and St. Petersburg.

Nikolay Yurgel, Head of the Federal Service for Supervision in the Field of Healthcare and Social Development, states: “Pharmtech international exhibition has not only become a traditional event for Russian pharmaceutical sector, but has been recognized by representatives of the world pharmaceutical industry. Due to excellent organisation of scientific events and professional presentation of information at the exhibition, representatives of pharmaceutical companies have a chance to get acquainted with achievements of the Russian science and new trends of the global market and discuss opportunities and prospects of cooperation”.

Traditional Pharmtechprom Forum will take place alongside the exhibition on November 24 — 26 and will feature issues of practical introduction of GMP rules and requirements in production processes. The programme of the Forum includes analytical overviews of the pharmaceutical market in Russia and covers critical topics of the pharmaceutical industry.

The Forum will be attended by representatives of chemical-pharmaceutical companies of Russia and CIS, leading European producers of raw materials, packaging and equipment for pharmaceutical industry, leading experts and analysts of the market.

The first day of the Forum will feature a round table organised jointly with Pharmexpert CMI “Russian pharmaceutical producers: who are they?” to discuss a wide range of issues.

The Second day of the Forum, 25 November, will be dedicated to raw materials and technologies used in the pharmaceutical industry. Presentations will be made by representatives of ISP Corporation (USA), FMC Biopolymer (Belgium), Croda Corporation (UK), BASF, Jentec Trading (Germany), IMA Kilian (Germany), Innojet Herbert Huttlin (Germany), Donau LAB (Switzerland), LSMW (Germany).

The session on 26 November will be dedicated to pharmaceutical packaging. Speakers at this session will include specialists from Schott Forma Vitrum (Hungary), Helvoet Pharma (Belgium), Gerresheimer Bunde GmbH (Germany), SGD  S. A. (France), Preiffer/Valois (Switzerland), Bausch Advanced Technology (USA), Telstar Technologies (Spain) and others.

Pharmtech exhibition is attended by companies offering products and services both for pharmaceutical and cosmetic industries, and that is why it comprises a special Cosmopharm section. In addition, a business forum under the same name will be organised on 26 November to discuss contract manufacturing issues in Russia. This time experts will discuss work mechanisms of contract manufacturing and development of pharmaceutical, cosmetic and related markets.

Speakers will present a comprehensive overview of contract manufacturing in Russia and discuss the most topical issues, such as: interaction of market participants, resources for innovations in the industry, stages of contract manufacturing and types of contractors, promotion of contract products. The Forum will feature special sessions dedicated to innovations in production, packaging and promotion, Private Label manufacturing and its development in Russia. The Forum will be attended by leading producers and consumers of products manufactured on contract basis, experts and analysts of pharmaceutical, cosmetic and related markets. Admission to all forums at the exhibition is free of charge.

Pharmtech will again run alongside Ingredients Russia exhibition. This allows demonstrating of the entire range of equipment, technologies and ingredients for food, pharmaceutical and cosmetic industries.
